Overview:
The Deal Analyzer workflow routes a deal to Legal under either of the following scenarios:
Scenario #1: Legal Review Requested on the Quote
Sales has selected/requested Legal Review on the quote in CRM, or customer and/or vendor payment terms have been modified, and/or if the deal includes special revenue-recognition terms that require evaluation.
All relevant supporting documents must be uploaded when requesting Legal Review. If the required documentation is not uploaded, the notification email for Legal review will not be triggered.
Scenario #2: Vendor Not Available in the CVG Table
Route the deal to Legal when the vendor has not been previously reviewed by Legal or Accounting and does not exist in the Central Vendor Group (CVG) table.
The CVG table stores each vendor's default terms and conditions, derived from the vendor's master contract.
Note: This process is for Legal Associates only.
Process:
Subtopic 1: How to Review a Deal When Legal Review Is Requested
Open the link provided in the email notification.
You will be redirected to Xvantage for Associates.
By default, the Base Data tab is displayed.
Click the Sign-offs tab.
From the left navigation pane, select Legal.

If the vendor exists in the Central Vendor Group (CVG) table, the vendor's default terms and conditions are automatically populated in the Legal tab. If applicable, subscription terms are also displayed.

Note: Only Sales or Legal can modify the terms for the current deal. Any changes apply only to that specific deal and do not update the vendor's master contract stored in the CVG table.
If Legal Review was requested on the quote, review the supporting documents uploaded by Sales:
Select the hyperlink under Documents to open a specific file.
Select the paperclip icon to view all documents attached to the deal.
After reviewing the deal, remain on the Sign-offs tab and select Legal from the left navigation pane.
Complete the review by performing the appropriate actions:
Add comments, if needed.
Upload additional supporting documents, if applicable.
Select Mark as Reviewed or Reject.
Once the review is completed:
The workflow is updated with the review status, reviewer name, and date and time of the review.
The deal is routed to Accounting for the next stage of the approval process.
The Legal section in the left navigation pane displays a Reviewed status.
Subtopic 2: How to Review a Deal When the Vendor Is Not Available in the Central Vendor Group (CVG)
Open the link provided in the email notification.
You will be redirected to Xvantage for Associates.
By default, the Base Data tab is displayed.
Click the Sign-offs tab.
From the left navigation pane, select Legal.

Enter the required vendor-term information.

After completing the required updates, you can:
Add comments.
Upload supporting documents.
Mark the deal as Reviewed.
When prompted to confirm that the vendor should be added to the Central Vendor Group (CVG) table, select Yes.
Note: Selecting Yes creates the vendor entry in the CVG table and automatically routes the deal to Accounting for review.
Verify that the workflow has been updated. The Legal review status displays the review completion, including the reviewer's name and the date and time of the review. The deal is then routed to Accounting for review.
