Overview:

This article explains how to create a sequence in Xvantage for Associates (X4A) CRM.

Sequences in Sales Accelerator help automate and standardize sales engagement activities by guiding users through a predefined set of actions, such as emails, phone calls, tasks, and follow-up activities. Sequences can be created from templates or built from scratch to support specific business processes.

Process:

  1. Go to My Apps and open Okta.

  2. In Okta, search for X4A and open it.

    • Tip: You can also access Xvantage for Associates directly from My Apps.

  3. In X4A, select Sales from the left navigation menu.

  4. Select CRM from the Sales sub-menu.

  5. In CRM’s left navigation menu, navigate to Tools > Personal Settings.

  6. Under Sales Accelerator, select Sequences.

  7. Click + New Sequence.

  8. In the Create a Sequence window, choose one of the following options:

    • Use Template – Create a sequence using a predefined template designed for common sales scenarios.

    • Sequence Name

    • Description

    • Record Type - Choose the type of record that this sequence is for (the default value is Lead)

  10. Select Next to open the Sequence Designer. A default Sequence Start Here step is added automatically.

  11. Select the Add (+) icon to add a step to the sequence.

  12. Choose the appropriate step type:

    • Steps – Activities such as emails, phone calls, and tasks.

    • Conditions – Branching logic based on user actions or activity outcomes.

    • Commands – Flow control based on field values or business process stages.

    • LinkedIn – LinkedIn engagement activities for social selling.

  13. Configure the selected step according to your business requirements.

  14. Continue adding and configuring steps until the sequence is complete.

  15. Select Save to save the sequence.

  16. Assign the sequence to the appropriate users or teams.
