Overview:
This article provides the guide on how to verify a customer account prior creating an admin user.
Important:
Before creating an admin user:
A request must be submitted by the company director, including their signature.
Ensure you have the customer’s account number available.
Process:
Go to Impulse.
Enter jump code: SP.
Enter the customer number.
Enter jump code: CI.
Ensure the highlighted customer status field is not marked as:
I = Inactive
D = Marked for deletion
Note: If the customer status shows I or D, stop and forward the request to:
new.accounts.uk@ingrammicro.com requesting to enable the profile and create a requested admin user.
In cases where profile is inactive, most likely it will be reenabled and user created.
In cases where it was inactive for 2+ years or Deleted, new accounts will require reseller to submit a new application form and follow standard onboarding process.
6. From the same screen, press F3 + F3 (twice), you should land on Customer Bill to Maintenance screen.
7. Confirm that the status field is blank.
If it contains “*”, the customer will not be able to place orders and will receive checkout errors.
If “*” is present, forward the request to: new.accounts.uk@ingrammicro.com
If both checks are clear, proceed.
8. Return to the SP screen (F1(3 times) or jump code SP).
9. Press F9 to access the CAPS and Suffix details.
CAPS ID: BBBB - your main caps ID Part (unique for each customer)
Suffix is below (AB/AK/BD etc)
10. Locate the line where:
Order Entry = Y
Admin Flag = I
This identifies the correct record to use for creating an admin user.
