Adobe Renewal Management Process FAQ Xvantage™

Prev Next

Summary:

Renewals Management gives you greater control over subscription renewals by allowing you to review and update renewal details before they are processed. Changes can be made in real time, helping ensure your renewal reflects your latest business needs.

Important disclaimer: Renewal Management updates your subscription status directly with Adobe whenever changes are submitted. Because the request must be validated by Adobe, updates may take several minutes to appear in Xvantage™. This delay is expected.

Question #1: What are the key capabilities?

  • Real-Time Updates – Modify renewal details before the renewal date.

  • Flexible Pricing & Discounts – Adjust pricing and apply eligible discounts.

  • Product Mix Management – Add, remove, or update products included in the renewal.

  • Renewal Control – Make as many changes as needed until the renewal window closes.

  • Improved Pricing Accuracy - Improves pricing accuracy across subscription journeys while reducing the need for manual price corrections.

Question #2: What are the benefits?

Answer:

Greater Flexibility:

  • Update renewal plans as business needs evolve.

  • Adjust pricing, discounts, and product selections before renewal.

Simplified Management:

  • No subscription locking during the renewal preparation process.

  • No need to cancel and recreate change requests.

Improved Experience:

  • Real-time data helps ensure accurate decision-making.

  • Easy-to-use controls simplify renewal management.

Better Business Alignment:

  • Optimize your product mix before renewal.

  • Support real-world purchasing and sales cycles with ongoing updates.

Improved Pricing Accuracy:

  • Adobe-based pricing: Ingram cost is now retrieved from Adobe pricing services for sales orders, subscription changes, renewal orders, modify renewal orders, and Seamless Move migrations.

  • Automatic price calculation: Reseller pricing continues to be calculated using Ingram's configured margins and exchange rates together with pricing returned by Adobe. If Adobe pricing is unavailable, the system automatically falls back to catalogue pricing.

  • Improved Seamless Move pricing: Seamless Move now uses Adobe pricing services to preserve historical 3YC pricing during subscription migrations, eliminating the need for Tool Time price corrections in most scenarios.

  • Tool Time deprecated: With historical pricing now provided through Adobe integration, Tool Time has been deprecated for standard pricing correction scenarios. It remains available as a fallback when Adobe pricing information is unavailable.

Question #3: How does Renewal Management work?

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to review, update, and finalize your renewal changes before your subscription renews:

  1. Find Modify Renewals Button

    • Users can open their subscription and locate the Modify Renewal button midway down the screen.

  2. Modify Renewal Changes

    • From here, users can click the Select Discount button on any of the renewal items listed in the subscription table and choose from any of the discounts available to them.

    • They can also adjust quantities, add new SKUs and remove SKUs from this screen.

  3. Review and Confirm Renewals

    • By continuing, users can provide billing and account details, then Xvantage will prepare a summary of renewal changes.

    • Now, they can review all discounts applied, quantity changes, and added or removed SKUs.

  4. Post-Submission Behavior

    • By clicking Confirm Renewal, a Renewal Modification Order will be created.
