Question #1: What is a zero margin?

Answer: Typically, a zero margin means the AOBO (Admin on Behalf of) has been removed from the Azure subscription, resulting in a loss of margins.

Question #2: What is AOBO?

Answer: AOBO (Admin on Behalf of) is the mechanism that enables an Indirect Reseller to manage and support a customer's Azure environment actively, thereby earning Partner Earned Credit (PEC) eligibility.

Question #3: Why AOBO Access is important?

Answer: When AOBO access is enabled, Resellers can:

  • Provision and manage services efficiently within the customer's Azure tenant.

  • Troubleshoot issues and provide timely support without delays.

  • Optimize usage and costs by monitoring and adjusting resources and earning revenue.

  • Ensure compliance and security through proper configuration and oversight.

  • Earn Partner Earned Credit (PEC) eligibility.

Question #4: What Happens If AOBO Is Removed?

Answer: If the AOBO has been removed, the Reseller will lose the PEC eligibility, and the Indirect Provider will lose the ability to provide support. In this case, the Reseller should contact the customer to understand the reason and guide them through the process of restoring access.
