Overview:
This document includes steps on how to add a hardware product to your quote in Xvantage™.
Process:
Log in to Xvantage.
Navigate to My Business and click on the Quotes section — this will open all quotes.
Press Start Quote.
It will pop out you a window that will give you an option to choose quote:
Standard Quote - Create a quote without linking directly to a vendor configuration.
Quote using vendor deal – A drop-down menu will appear, providing you with a list of available vendors that you can select to import a deal from.
Click Continue, it will show you a new window in which you must enter a name of your quote and then click the Continue button. The name is important as you can search with it in your quote section.
Line items – you need to click on the +Add line items icon to add your products and you will receive 2 options. When you have finished with the selection of your products, you will find your Total Quote Amount under the product lines in the Reseller summary section under your product lines:
- Search our catalog – in this section you can search for a hardware product by a keyword, VPN or IM SKU. After you have found your product, you need to select how many qty you want to add in your quote and click on the blue icon Add to quote. You can add how many products you would like to order. When you finish with the selection of your products, you need to click on the Back to my quote button in the top right corner.
- Quick add – this option allows you to do your quote creation much faster if you have already the VPN or IM SKU that you are searching for and you know how much you want to order. When you have finished choosing your products, you click on the Add button. There is a second way to add products to this option – Upload Spreadsheet. If you want to add many products, you could click on the Download template which will download your Excel file in which you must put in Column 1 the SKU/VPN numbers and in Column 2 the quantity for each product. When you have filled the template, you need to upload it by Choose file and after you have finished click on the Upload button.
Select an End Customer (Optional) – you could use this option when you create a quote:
- for specific products of a vendor which requires End user information
- if you want to use the Customization option in the quote creation, you can use Xvantage to create a quote template for your customer (end user) that you can send to them directly.
Set expiration date – you must set a date when this quote will expire.
Once the hardware product is added to the Quote expanded will prompt us with warranty recommendations.
Select View Options to review the available warranties and choose the one that best fits the customer's needs. After selecting it, you'll notice the auto link indicator confirming that the warranty will automatically stay linked to this hardware through purchase.
When you have finished with the previous steps, you could Save the quote for later activation or Activate the quote immediately.
