Overview:
This document outlines the steps to generate a Quote within Xvantage.
Sub-topic 1:How to Generate a Quote in X4C
How to Create a quote trough the Homepage.
Process:
Log in to Xvantage.
Click the Start a quote button at the top of the page. This will open the Start a quote dialogue window.
In the dialogue window you can choose to create two types of quotes:
Standard quote: A quote of standard products from the Ingram Micro catalogue.
Quote using vendor deal: Request a quote from a vendor approved deal.
By default, Standard quote is chosen. Retain the selection and click Continue.
Add quote name and click Continue.
Select +Add line items.
Select one from the list of available options:
Quick add by VPN or SKU - Pick this option if you know the SKU or VPN for the items you want to add to your quote. In the Quickly add items to your quote pop-up window, enter the SKU or VPN number of the product in the SKU or VPN field, and enter the number of products you want in the Quantity field. Select Add to quote.
Search our catalogue - you can use that option if you know only the type or the brand of the item you want to add (e.g. laptop, smart phone, Lenovo, HP, Samsung). Use the search bar to locate the items you want to add to your quote and click the blue Add to quote button under each of the items. Once you've added all desirable items click the quote icon in the top right corner next to the notifications bell icon.
On the quote editing page, you can select:
Clone quote: Create a replica of an existing quote
Save quote: Save the quote for future use
Activate quote: To initiate the ordering process select activate. Once activated the quote cannot be edited and is locked for processing into an Order.
Click Activate quote.
You will be prompted to Set an expiration date for the quote. After the lapse of this quote date any special pricing discount provided on this quote will also expire.
Select Activate quote.
In the Confirm activation pop-up window, select Activate only.
Quote confirmation pop-up window appears and once the Quote is ready to order, it will appear in the Quotes menu.

How to Create a quote trough My business from the left navigation menu.
Process:
Log in to Xvantage.
Open the left navigation menu and select My business.
From the My business sub-menu select Quotes.
At the Quotes page click the Start quote button in the top right corner.
Click the Start a quote button at the top of the page. This will open the Start a quote dialogue window.
