Overview:
This guide outlines the process for utilizing the Seamless Move feature to transfer Adobe VIP Educational Subscriptions within Xvantage™ and convert them into VIP Marketplace subscription.
You will first need to install Ingram Micro Seamless Move. Just add it to your cart and purchase it, it's FREE, this will add the feature to your Xvantage platform.
Process:
Log in to Xvantage.
On the left pane, click My business and click Cloud Service. The Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace page appears. From the left menu select Seamless Move and Adobe. Choose the Transfers tab.
Provide the customer's Account ID and Adobe VIP number. To be able to migrate, you need to have the customer account created in Xvantage before proceeding.
Click Next to continue. Details of the VIP subscription are shown, including the customer's company name, the renewal date, the licenses, and the quantity. Review this information carefully. If everything is correct, click Next to continue.
This step manages the details for the VIP Marketplace subscription that will be created. Since this involves transferring a VIP Educational subscription, a plan needs to be selected. The plan to be chosen is the Educational sub-segment that the end customer requires.
At this stage, you can also expand the Resources section to view the details about the licenses included in this new subscription. Review these details and click Next to proceed to the next step.
Review the transfer details and click Import to submit the transfer.
After your Seamless Move order has been received, you will see a notification at the top right corner of the page. Click Exit if you need to leave the Seamless Move process.
After the transfer, the subscription will indicate that the renewal date was carried over from the previous VIP subscription.
Note: Renewals take place three days before the anniversary date. Additionally, you will see that the number of licenses from the VIP subscription is now associated with the VIP Marketplace subscription.
