Overview:
This article provides the steps on how to view Insights and Recommendations to understand your business performance, identify purchase trends, and get personalized product suggestions.
Process:
Log in to Xvantage.
In the left navigation menu, select My Business.
Click on Insights. Alternatively, from the Home page, click the Business Insights button.
You will be redirected to the Insights center, where various data widgets and reports are available.
Subtopic 1: How to View Insights on the X4C Home Page
Process:
1. View Quick Insights on the Home page, Product Details Page (PDP), and Insights Page. These display brief summaries and tips based on recent activity.
2. Use the Insights Widget/Tile to see insights on growing product lines, customer purchase trends, and frequently bought products.
3. The Trending Products widget shows live product trends including:
Stock availability
Popular items
Ongoing deals
Product rank in the market
Subtopic 2: How to Use the Business Review Dashboard in X4C
Process:
1. Under Overview, check:
Total Sales – Your total purchase value this year, with a percentage comparison to last year.
Number of Orders – The total number of orders placed, with YoY change.
2. In Sales Patterns, review:
Annual Sales – Historical sales data and the current year's run rate.
Quarterly Sales – Performance over the last 5 quarters.
Monthly Sales – Trends over the last 12 months.
3. Top Sales shows top 5 vendors and product categories in both chart and table formats.
4. Use Platform Utilization to view how orders were placed (API, EDI, Web, Mobile, Telesales, etc.).
5. Sales Drivers lists the top 10 product categories and vendors contributing to your sales growth.
Subtopic 3: How to Use Product Recommendations in X4C
Process:
1. On the Home Page, view the Top Picks section, which includes:
Buy It Again – Products your company regularly purchases.
Recommended for You – Suggestions based on your previous purchases.
New for You – New products that match your interest or purchase history.
2. If many repeated purchases are detected, click "See All" to view:
A dedicated list of repeat items
Price changes
Stock availability for faster reordering
Subtopic 4: How to Find Substitute Products in X4C
Process:
1. On the Search Results Page, if a product is out of stock or discontinued, a substitution flag will appear.
2. Click the flag to view suggested substitute items or newer models that serve the same purpose.
Subtopic 5: How to Find Insights on the Product Details Page
Process:
1. Open any product page.
2. Locate the Insights Widget/Tile to view:
Buying trends related to that product
Suggestions for similar or complementary items
Market movement data for that item
