Question 1: How to access MFA in Xvantage?

Answer:

  1. Log in to Xvantage.

  2. Navigate to your Profile located at the right side of the screen with your initials.

  3. Click Account Settings.

  4. Click the Security tab.

Question 2: What are the benefits of MFA?

Answer:

  • Enhanced Security: Strengthens security by requiring multiple forms of verification.

  • Reduced Risk of Identity Theft: Requires additional steps, like a one-time code or biometric data, making unauthorized access far more difficult.

  • Protection Against Weak Passwords: Provides extra security to compensate for weak or reused passwords.

  • Improves User Trust: Implementing MFA shows a commitment to security.

Question 3: How to Activate Okta Verify or Google Authenticator?

Answer:

  • Download and install the application of your chosen option (Okta Verify or Google Authenticator) from the Play Store or App Store.

  • Follow the step-by-step guidance provided once the option is activated on the "Security" page.

Question 4: What to do if am I not receiving MFA/ email verification code?

Answer: Email verification codes will be sent from donotreply@sso.ingrammicro.com.

  • If you do not receive the email, check your Junk/Spam folder.

  • If still not received, request your IT team to whitelist the above domain.

Question 5: Why does the website always ask for an authentication code even after selecting “Do Not Challenge for 15 Days”?

Answer: Common reasons include the following::

  • Cleared Browser Cookies
    If browser cookies are manually cleared or automatically deleted through browser settings, the 15-day preference is removed. Private or Incognito browsing sessions also do not retain cookies once closed.

  • VPN or Network Changes
    If you are using a VPN or your network frequently changes IP addresses, the system detects this as a new or unfamiliar location. For security and fraud prevention, additional authentication is required.

Action Required

To prevent repeated authentication challenges:

  • Avoid clearing cookies for the website;

  • Do not use private or incognito browsing for regular access;

  • If using a VPN, check whether a static IP is available or consult your IT team for assistance.
