Seamless Move: Extended Service Term (EST) & End-of-Sale Plan Migration Xvantage™

Prev Next

Executive Summary

Seamless Move migrates Microsoft subscriptions between distributors or partner tenants while preserving billing and subscription lifecycle information intact with smooth customer experience.

With this enhancement, we’re extending the existing NCE license-based import workflow with two subscription variants that are not supported today: (1) Extended Service Term (EST) subscriptions — both scheduled-to-convert and already-converted states, and (2) Microsoft End-of-Sale plans — eligible retired plans that customers still hold.

Why This Matters. This update closes those gaps, ensuring Ingram Micro systems match Microsoft Partner Center data exactly.

The Upgrade: What Is Changing?

Current

Gap

Enhancement

Automates validation for EST and end-of-sale plans

Problem and Impact

Today, Seamless Move does not recognize or import:

  • NCE license-based subscriptions that are scheduled to convert to an Extended Service Term.

  • NCE license-based subscriptions that have already converted to an Extended Service Term.

  • Microsoft End-of-Sale plans that customers continue to hold.

This causes three main issues:

  • Data Inconsistency: Subscription state in Ingram Micro differs from Partner Center, causing reporting and reconciliation issues.

  • Revenue Leakage: Extended-term billing and retired-plan renewals may not be correctly captured, impacting revenue recognition.

  • Partner Friction: Partners need to fix these mismatches manually, slowing time-to-value.

Who This Affects

  • Partners — can now migrate EST or End-of-Sale subscriptions without workarounds.

  • Operations & Support — no longer need to spend hours reconciling subscription mismatches and handling escalations.

Dependencies & Prerequisites

You must establish the customer relationship in Partner Center before starting a transfer. Seamless Move does not create customer objects or transfer contract profiles.
