Summary:

This article explains how to revise activated quotes in CRM, which updates can be made without requiring reapproval, and what additional information is needed for Auto Quotes to successfully flow into Deal Analyzer. It also outlines when a revised quote must be resubmitted for approval and how quote revisions impact Deal Analyzer records.

Question: How Can I Revise an Activated Quote?

Answer: To revise an activated quote in CRM, click the Revise button and make necessary edits. Once the quote is reactivated there will be an updated Deal Analyzer ID# and a different URL to connect to Xvantage. All versions of the deal will be linked in Deal Analyzer.

Note: If a quote is revised, it will remain in Approved status if only the following fields are updated:

  • Comments

  • Customer Need

  • Opportunity Creation/Link

  • Contract Start Date

  • Expiration Date (revision of an Ingram quote within 90 days of initial approval)

  • Effective To Date

  • End User #/Name

  • Reseller Billing Address

  • Reseller Ship-To Address

  • Quote Date

  • Vendor Quote #

  • Vendor Quote Expiration Date

  • Customer 1st Billing Month

  • Vendor 1st Billing Month

  • Quote Name

Any changes beyond the fields listed above will require the quote to be resubmitted for approval.

Important: When Auto Quotes are activated, they will not flow into Deal Analyzer until the quote is revised with the necessary details. These include the same information required for a newly created quote, including:

  • Contract Start Date

  • Contract End Date

  • Billing Frequency Option

  • Non-Cancellable Selection

  • Contract Term

  • Contract Term Option
