Overview:
This article outlines how to download and correctly fill out the Pricing Rule Template for Vendor Level Pricing (VLP) requests in bulk via Xvantage for Associates (X4A).
Process:
Go to My Apps and open Okta.
In Okta, search for X4A and open it.
Within X4A, hover over the left navigation menu and click Revenue, then select Pricing Rules Request.
Click on the Upload Pricing Rule tab to access the bulk upload feature.
Click on the download icon to download the Pricing Rule Template located on the right side of the screen.
Open the downloaded template and complete the required fields:
Business Justification - Select from the dropdown the appropriate business justification for setting up VLP
Revenue or Profit Objective - Enter your goal:
For Revenue Growth, input the Expected Quarterly Revenue Increase
For Profit Growth, input the Expected Quarterly Profit Increase
For Partner Pricing, input the Revenue amount required to attain that level
For Contract, input the total Revenue for the contract
Partner Level - Select from the dropdown if applicable (e.g. Gold / Silver / Bronze / None). If the option isn't available, note it in the comment field later. If not for partner pricing, select None.
Branch Customer Number - Pricing is loaded by Branch Customer Number (BCN), not by Master Branch Customer Number (MBCN). If MBCN has multiple BCNs all BCNs must be requested (e.g. 40029721)
Vendor Number - Pricing is loaded by individual Vendor Number, not by Master Vendor Number (e.g. 4044)
VLP Percentage - The new VLP you want to set (e.g. 5%)
Effective Date - Price Change will be effective on this date (e.g. 06/11/2015)
Expiration Date - Expiration Date must be provided and can be set for maximum 1 year out from effective date (e.g. 12/31/2015)
Cost Basis: Select from the dropdown. MC Adjusted cannot be used as a Cost Basis for Pricing
Velocity Code (optional): Choose from the dropdown if needed; otherwise, leave blank to apply pricing to the entire vendor code. Velocity Codes is not required.
Save the completed file for upload.
