Overview:
This manual is intended for associates, and details the procedure for utilizing Seamless Move to transfer Microsoft NCE subscriptions via the Xvantage platform.
Note:
Associate level (permission) is required for this task.
Example Scenario:
A customer wants to transfer their subscription from Distributor B (France - FR) to Distributor A (Austria - AT).
Distributor A then begins the transfer by managing a transfer-out request to Distributor B. Follow the steps below to initiate the process in Seamless Move:
Process: Managing Transfer Out
Example Scenario: A customer requested for his subscription to be transferred from France to Austria. The outlined steps below are from French’s POV - Transfer Out.
Log in to Xvantage.
Hover over the left navigation menu, and click on My Business.
Then, choose Cloud Services.
A new tab will open, directing you to the XVS platform.
Alternatively, directly log in to XVS using your associate account.
From the left pane, choose Seamless Move, then Microsoft Operations. Next, select Manage Transfers Out.
An email alert is dispatched to the initial distributor informing them that a customer is seeking a transfer out.

Enter the Microsoft Domain Name and Microsoft Transfer ID (optional).
The list of the customer’s transfer request/s will appear. Select the subscription that needs to be actioned accordingly. Hit Review.
Under the Requests section, tick the box/es of the subscription/s to be Transferred Out. Then, click the Accept and Transfer button. This will send a notification to Microsoft indicating that the original distributor has approved the request for transfer to the new distributor.

A prompt will confirm the update made. Press OK.

Subtopic 3: Cancelling the Transferred Out Subscription
Example Scenario: A customer requested for his subscription to be transferred from France to Austria. The outlined steps below are from French’s POV - Cancelling the Transferred Out Subscription.
From the XVS platform homepage, click on Classic Panel. A new tab will automatically open.

Once directed in the new tab, click on Billing. Then, on the left navigation menus, go to the Operations section > Orders.

The actioned subscription will now show as Cancellation Order in the list.
Now, in the Subscriptions Vendor Portal, it will read as Pending. It could take up to an hour for the cancellation status to be completely updated.

Once the subscription is officially designated as cancelled, the Destroy button on the Subscriptions details page on the XVS platform will become active. Make sure to click the button to wrap up the task.
If the Destroy button is still greyed out, it means that Microsoft is still working on the cancellation (like in the example below).
