Transfer Error Adobe Multiple Source Subscriptions Troubleshooting in Xvantage for Associates

Prev Next

Summary:

This article explains why the “Multiple source subscriptions” transfer error occurs and outlines the steps required to resolve duplicate Adobe subscription records.

Issue:

When transferring an Adobe subscription using Seamless Move in Xvantage, the process fails with an error indicating multiple source subscriptions.

The transfer cannot proceed while duplicate active source subscriptions exist.

Cause:

The error occurs because the Adobe customer account has been transferred to two different resellers, resulting in two active subscriptions in Connect.

As a result:

  • Adobe returns multiple subscription records for the same customer

  • Seamless Move cannot identify the correct source subscription

  • The transfer is blocked to prevent duplicate or conflicting assets

Resolution:

Follow the steps below to resolve the issue:

  1. Locate the subscription ID displayed in the error message (shown in parentheses).

  2. Use the subscription ID to identify the corresponding subscription record.

  3. Determine which reseller was the first transfer‑out partner.

  4. Search for the subscription ID in Connect and verify that the subscription matches the reseller under the Tiers section.

  5. If confirmed as the first transfer‑out partner, submit a cancellation request for the duplicate Connect subscription

  6. Once the cancellation has processed successfully, retry the Seamless Move transfer.
