Overview:
This document includes steps on how to add a hardware product to your quote in Xvantage.
Process:
Log in to Xvantage.
On the left navigation menu, go to My Business, then click on Quotes.
Press Start Quote.
A pop out window will appear, and provide quote options:
Standard Quote - Create a quote without linking directly to a vendor configuration.
Quote using vendor deal – A drop-down menu will appear, providing you with a list of available vendors that you can select to import a deal from.
Click Continue. This will show you a new window in which you must enter a name of your quote and then click the Continue button. The name is important as you can search with it in your quote section.
From the newly created quote section, proceed to Line items. Click the +Add line items icon.
From this icon, choose between two options: Search our catalog or Quick add by VPN or SKU.
Search our catalog – search for a hardware product by a keyword, VPN or IM SKU. After you have found your product, select the quantity and click on the blue icon Add to quote. Add how many products you would like to order. When you finish with the selection of your products, you need to click on the Back to my quote button in the top right corner.
Quick add – this allows for faster quote creation if the VPN or IM SKU are readily available. When finished choosing products, click on the Add button. Another quick option is to Upload Spreadsheet. If you want to add more products, click on the Download template. Input details in the excel sheet’s Column 1 for SKU/VPN numbers and Column 2 for product quantity. When you have filled the template, upload it by Choose file and click on the Upload button.
Once finished with product selection, the Total Quote Amount under the Reseller summary section within product lines should appear:
Select an End Customer (Optional) – use this option when you create a quote:
- for specific products from a vendor which requires End user information.
- if you want to use the Customization option in the quote creation, use Xvantage to create a quote template for your customer (end user) that you can send directly to them.
Set expiration date – set a date when this quote will expire.
Once the hardware product is added to the Quote, there will be a prompt with warranty recommendations.
Select View Options to review the available warranties and choose the one that best fits the customer's needs. After selecting, note the auto link indicator confirming the warranty will automatically stay linked to this hardware through purchase.
When finished with the previous steps, Save the quote for later activation or Activate the quote immediately.
