Overview:

This article explains how to transfer an AWS quote from Xvantage to AWS Marketplace. This process is commonly used when customers want to purchase through AWS Marketplace, leverage existing AWS commitments, or consolidate spending within their AWS environment.

Process:

Step 1: Locate the AWS Quote in Xvantage

  1. Log in to Xvantage.

  2. From the left navigation menu, navigate to My Business > Quotes.

  3. In the search filter, select Quote ID and search for the quote you want to process.

  4. In the Quote Requests tab, review the Status column to identify quotes that are awaiting approval.

  5. Select the Quote ID to open the quote details.

Step 2: Review and Accept the Quote

  1. Review the quote details, including pricing and product information.

  2. In the Action Needed banner at the top of the page, select Accept Quote.

Note: Accepting the quote authorizes Ingram Micro to begin the AWS resale authorization process.

Step 3: Wait for AWS Resale Authorization

After the quote is accepted:

  1. The quote status is updated to indicate that the AWS resale authorization is being created.

  2. Ingram Micro submits the authorization request to AWS.

  3. You will receive an update once AWS completes the authorization review.

Step 4: Complete the Offer in AWS Marketplace

Once AWS approves the resale authorization:

  1. Return to the quote in Xvantage.

  2. Review the updated quote.

  3. Select Complete in AWS from the Action Needed message displayed on the quote.

Step 5: Create the Private Offer in AWS

  1. Sign in to your AWS Marketplace Management Portal.

  2. Navigate to Selling Authorizations Received.

  3. Locate the resale authorization using the authorization number provided by your Ingram Micro sales contact.

  4. Click Create Offer.

Step 6: Configure the AWS Marketplace Offer

  1. Review and accept the provided contract terms.

  2. Configure pricing for the end customer.

  3. Add your desired margin using the Markup tab.

  4. Save and publish the offer.

Step 7: Verify the Offer Status

  1. Return to the quote details page in Xvantage.

  2. Confirm that the offer status displays Pending Acceptance.

  3. Verify the offer expiration date.

Important: The expiration date represents the deadline by which the customer must accept the private offer in AWS Marketplace.

The AWS Marketplace private offer is created and made available to the customer for review and acceptance. Once accepted, the transaction is completed through AWS Marketplace.

Best Practices:

  • Review quote pricing carefully before accepting the quote.

  • Ensure the correct AWS customer account is used during offer creation.

  • Set a realistic offer expiration date to allow sufficient time for customer review and approval.

  • Monitor offer status in both Xvantage™ and AWS Marketplace to avoid delays.
