How to Transfer an AWS Account Internally - Reseller to Reseller Xvantage™

Prev Next

Overview:

If both the current Reseller and the future Reseller reside with Ingram Micro, then Ingram can complete an internal transfer. Please follow this process for all accounts that currently reside in Ingram’s Consolidated Payer or are moving to Ingram’s Consolidated Payer, and for transfers of Standalone Master Payers. Follow either Process A or Process B.

Note: Ingram Micro is unable to process the transfer request if the transferring AWS Account has past due amounts. Please ensure that all transferring AWS Accounts have current balances PRIOR to submitting transfer request.

Subtopic 1: How to transfer an AWS account internally from reseller to reseller if:

  • You want to change an existing Payee account into a Standalone Master Payer Account

  • A customer (that is currently under Ingram Micro) is transferring a Payee account from one Ingram Reseller to another Ingram Reseller and wanting to have it changed to a Master Payer account.

Process:

  1. Fill out the AWS Request for CTA for Email Change Form. Reseller Point of Contact will receive a copy of the submission form. Form is emailed to AWS@ingrammicro.com.

  2. Ingram Micro AWS Sales Representative will submit an internal case to our AWS CloudOps team.

  3. Once completed, AWS CloudOps team will place a cancellation order of the linked account (payee account) in Xvantage. This will be approved the following month.

  4. The AWS account will leave Ingram’s Organization and will have updated console information (including root email change).

  5. AWS CloudOps will then re-import account as a Master Payer on Xvantage and CloudCheckr will be configured.

Subtopic 2: How to transfer an AWS account internally from reseller to reseller if a customer (that is currently under Ingram Micro) is transferring a Master Payer Account(s) from one Ingram Reseller to another Ingram Reseller

Process:

  1. Fill out the AWS Internal Transfer Request. This will automatically be emailed to AWS@ingrammicro.com. Reseller Point of Contact will receive a copy of the submission.

  2. Note: If the End Customer is a Public Sector customer, ensure that you (the Reseller) have the Public Sector Authorization completed.

  3. Ingram AWS Sales Representative will submit an internal case to our Partner Support team.

  4. If the AWS account is a Master Payer being moved, our IaaS admin team will schedule a meeting with you to re-credential the account in CloudCheckr (similar as if the customer was being newly onboarded).

  5. Once the transfer has been completed, you will be able to see the customer and AWS account in Xvantage.

Note: Timelines may vary depending on if it is a Master Payer versus Payee accounts. Depending on the time of month it is transferred will be when it reflects. If it is before the 15th, it will reflect that month. If it is after the 15th, it will reflect the following month.
