Question 1: What happens to the root credentials after an AWS Account has been internally transferred from one reseller to another reseller?

Answer: If the current Reseller owns the Root Credentials, Ingram Micro Operations will have to reclaim the root. If the End Customer owns the Root Credentials, they can continue to keep them.

If the Master Payer account is transferring, keep in mind that all its payee (member) accounts attached to that Payer will also transfer with it and the new Reseller needs to submit End User Reporting for all accounts.

Question 2: What happens to the billing of the transferred account?

Answer: When an AWS account is transferred to the new Reseller, the billing also transfers for the entire calendar month. For example, if an AWS account transfers on the 15th, the billing from the 1st – 31st will be invoiced to the new Reseller for that month.
