Question #1:  What are the prerequisites for using Ad Capture’s live preview?

Answer: To use the Ad Capture live preview, you must:

  • Have access to Xvantage for Associates (X4A) with the Marketing Associate persona and Basic privileges or higher for any country. You do not need access to the specific country instance where you want to preview the banners.

  • Be logged in to the X4C live site for the country where your campaigns are published. Although some ad zones are available while logged out, the Ad Capture preview will not work unless you are logged in.

  • Have access to all X4C pages where your campaigns are published. This may require higher access privileges in X4C.

Question #2: What are the limitations of Ad Capture?

Answer: Ad Capture supports most common banner publishing scenarios. However, due to the wide range of options available in AdButler for assigning ad items to zones, live preview is not currently supported for all publishing scenarios.

At this time, Ad Capture supports campaigns that contain one or more ad items with a single zone assignment.

Question #3: What types of campaigns or ads are not supported by Ad Capture?

Answer: Ad Capture does not work for:

  • Buddy ads in the resources library if the ad items for top and bottom placement are contained in the same campaign with both ad zones assigned to it.

  • Campaigns that use Channels instead of zone assignments.

  • Postcard ads that use library images for the background-image instead of URLs

  • Campaigns assigned to ad hoc zones.
