Overview:
This article provides step-by-step instructions on how to simulate and view estimated freight fees for a quote in the Xvantage CRM (X4A). The freight simulation feature allows you to generate an estimate of the charges that may apply before finalizing the quote.
Process:
Go to My Apps and open Okta.
In Okta, search for Xvantage for Associates(X4A) and open it.
Within X4A, hover over the left navigation menu and click Sales.
Select CRM from the Sales sub-menu.
In the Xvantage CRM sidebar menu, navigate to Sales and select Quotes.
Select your desired quote list by clicking the view drop-down located on the upper left corner of the page.
To find the quote that you need, click the column header and use the Filter By option or the Filter by keyword bar.
Open the quote by clicking the quote name (a hyperlink).
Ensure that your quote contains at least one physical product. Freight simulation cannot run without a physical item in the quote.
Once products are added, go to the Products tab and scroll down to the Freight & Charges section.
Click the Simulate Order button. This will trigger the system to create a simulated sales order (SO) in a test environment to estimate applicable freight and miscellaneous charges.
If fees are generated, they will appear under the Freight Charges or Miscellaneous Lines sections, linked to the simulated SO number.
To include these fees in the customer-facing quote:
Tick the checkbox next to the applicable Freight line(s).
Click Add Selected to apply the charges to your quote.
