Summary:
This article explains why an Adobe subscription migration or import fails with the Contract Not Accepted error and describes the steps required to resolve the issue.
Issue:
When attempting to migrate or import an Adobe subscription using Seamless Move in Xvantage™, the following error may be displayed:
“CONTRACT_NOT_ACCEPTED”
This error prevents the migration or import from completing successfully.
Cause:
Adobe requires the end customer to accept the latest Adobe Terms & Conditions (T&Cs) before a subscription can be migrated, transferred, or managed.
The CONTRACT_NOT_ACCEPTED error occurs when:
The Adobe Terms & Conditions have not been accepted by an administrator of the customer's Adobe organization.
Adobe does not have a recorded acceptance of the current Terms & Conditions for the customer account.
A recently updated Adobe agreement is pending acceptance.
Until the Terms & Conditions are accepted, Adobe blocks all migration and import activities for the affected subscription.
Resolution:
Sign in to the Adobe Admin Console using an account with administrator permissions.
Review any pending notifications or prompts related to Adobe Terms & Conditions.
Accept the current Adobe Terms & Conditions when prompted.
After acceptance is completed, return to Xvantage™ and retry the migration or import.
If No Terms & Conditions Prompt Appears
If the administrator account is not presented with a Terms & Conditions prompt:
Add a new administrator to the Adobe Admin Console, or
Remove and re-add an existing administrator account.
Have the administrator sign in again.
Adobe may prompt the administrator to review and accept the latest Terms & Conditions during the sign-in process.
Note: Administrative privileges are required to accept Adobe Terms & Conditions on behalf of the organization.
Verification
After the Terms & Conditions have been accepted:
Return to Seamless Move in Xvantage™.
Retry the migration or import process.
Verify that the subscription migrates successfully without the CONTRACT_NOT_ACCEPTED error.
If the error persists, confirm that the acceptance was completed by an Adobe administrator and that sufficient time has passed for Adobe to process the update.
