Summary:
This article explains why the “Contract_Not_Accepted” error occurs during an Adobe subscription migration and how to guide the customer through resolution.
Issue:
When migrating an Adobe subscription using Seamless Move in Xvantage, the migration fails with the error:
“Contract_Not_Accepted”

The migration cannot proceed until this issue is resolved.
Cause:
The error occurs because the end customer has not accepted Adobe’s Terms & Conditions associated with the Adobe VIP or VIP Marketplace agreement.
Key points:
Adobe requires explicit acceptance of T&Cs before allowing migrations
The acceptance must be completed in the Adobe Admin Console
If acceptance is missing, Adobe blocks the migration via the API
Resolution:
Verify that Seamless Move displays the Contract_Not_Accepted error.
Advise the customer to accept T&Cs:
Instruct the customer to log in to the Adobe Admin Console
An administrator must review and accept the Terms & Conditions
If the customer cannot accept T&Cs, advise the partner or customer to:
Add a new administrator account, or remove and re‑add an existing administrator
Upon login, the new admin will be prompted to accept the Terms & Conditions
Once Adobe confirms the T&Cs are accepted, retry the migration using Seamless Move.
Suggested messaging to customer or reseller:
“Adobe is blocking the migration because the Terms & Conditions have not yet been accepted for this customer account. An administrator must log in to the Adobe Admin Console and accept the agreement before the migration can proceed.”
